Terms of Use

SIA "PREVENTPARS," registration No. 42103088595, address: Piltenes iela 3-2, Liepāja, LV-3405, hereinafter referred to as the "Online Store," provides the content available on the website and offers products/services in accordance with the following Terms of Use.

  1. General Terms

If a consumer purchases goods/services through the website, such an agreement is considered a Distance Contract and is subject to the laws of the Republic of Latvia governing distance contracts, including but not limited to the Consumer Rights Protection Law of the Republic of Latvia, the Cabinet of Ministers Regulations on Distance Contracts, and other applicable laws.

  1. Making Purchases

The prices and specifications of products sold in the online store are provided next to the products.

To place an order, add the desired products to the shopping cart. Fill in all required fields and select the most suitable delivery method. The total order cost, including delivery, will then be displayed on the screen. Complete the purchase payment to finalize the order.

  1. Payment Terms

The currency for transactions on the website is the euro. Purchases can be paid for using the following payment methods provided by the payment platform makecommerce.lv, operated by Maksekeskus AS:

  • Latvian internet bank payments: Swedbank, SEB, Citadele, and Luminor
  • Estonian internet bank payments: Swedbank, SEB, Luminor
  • Lithuanian internet bank payments: Swedbank, SEB, and Luminor
  • Visa/Mastercard payments

NB! When using internet bank payment methods, confirm the order and click "Return to Merchant."

Personal data required for payment processing is transferred to the licensed payment institution Maksekeskus AS.

The contract takes effect upon successful payment to the online store's bank account. If, for any reason, the order cannot be fulfilled, the Buyer will be notified, and the paid amount will be refunded as soon as possible, but no later than within 14 days of receiving the notification.

  1. Delivery Terms

Products are delivered to the following countries: Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia. Purchased products are delivered via parcel partner SIA "Omniva Latvija" or can be picked up at Krūmu iela 41, Liepāja, LV-3405. All fees and taxes required to receive the shipment at the delivery destination are the Buyer's responsibility. Delivery costs are displayed before order confirmation. Purchased products are delivered to the address specified by the Buyer within 2-5 working days. In exceptional cases, we reserve the right to dispatch goods within up to 14 calendar days, informing the customer accordingly.

  1. Right of Withdrawal

The Buyer has the right to withdraw from the product within 14 calendar days from the date of receipt. (Depending on the product, the Buyer may not have a mandatory right of withdrawal, in which case the reason must be clearly stated and explained). The right of withdrawal does not apply if the Buyer is a legal entity.

To exercise the 14-day right of withdrawal, products can only be used for their intended purpose, and the consumer is responsible for maintaining the product's quality and safety during the withdrawal period. If the product is misused, damaged, or treated negligently during use, or if the original packaging is lost or significantly damaged, the online store has the right to reduce the refundable amount according to the reduction in the product's value.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must submit a withdrawal form, available here: Atteikuma_veidlapa_Preventpars.pdf, by sending it to [email protected] within 14 days after receiving the goods. Return shipping for products is free of charge.

The Buyer is required to return the goods to the Seller without delay but no later than 14 days after submitting the withdrawal form. Upon receiving the returned goods, the online store will promptly, but no later than 14 days, refund all payments received from the Buyer based on the Distance Contract.

The Seller has the right to withhold the refund until the Buyer has returned the goods or provided proof of their return. If the Buyer chose a delivery method other than the cheapest offered by the online store, the online store is not required to compensate for the excess delivery costs.

The online store is not liable for delays or failure to fulfill obligations or any other type of non-fulfillment caused by circumstances or obstacles beyond the online store’s reasonable control.

The online store reserves the right to refuse to sell products and to request the return of products from the Buyer if the price listed on the website is significantly lower than its market price due to an error.

  1. Consumer Rights Regarding Non-conforming Goods

The online store is responsible for the conformity of goods sold to the Buyer with the terms of the contract or defects occurring within 14 days after the delivery date, or that existed at the time of delivery if this assumption is not contrary to the nature of the product or defect. The Buyer must notify the Seller of non-compliance immediately, within 14 days of discovering it, by submitting a complaint. The Buyer can file a complaint by contacting the online store at [email protected].

The online store is not responsible for defects arising after the goods have been delivered to the Buyer. If the purchased goods have defects for which the Seller is responsible, the Buyer has the right to request that the defects be remedied or the goods be exchanged for new ones free of charge.

If the goods cannot be repaired or replaced, the Seller will refund all payments specified in the Distance Contract to the Buyer. The Seller will respond in writing to the consumer's complaint within 15 days.

  1. Processing of Buyer’s Personal Data

The online store processes only the personal data necessary to fulfill the order, such as name, surname, email, etc.

The online store transfers personal data to the transport service provider(s) to ensure product delivery.

If you have explicitly agreed to receive our marketing communications, including news, we may occasionally contact you with information about our services and latest offers. For this purpose, we may process your email address, which you provided when signing up for marketing communications. The Buyer has the option to unsubscribe from marketing communications by notifying us at [email protected].

  1. Dispute Resolution

In matters not covered in these Terms and Conditions, the Buyer and Seller agree to comply with the laws of the Republic of Latvia.

The parties will resolve all disputes arising between the Seller and the Buyer through mutual negotiations or correspondence. If the dispute cannot be resolved through negotiations or correspondence, the Parties will settle the dispute in the courts of the Republic of Latvia in accordance with Latvian law. Disputes between the Buyer (consumer) and the Seller may be submitted to the Consumer Rights Protection Centre or the courts of the Republic of Latvia.

The Buyer also has the right to turn to European Union dispute resolution institutions.
